Roamwell Tiny Homes
blood, sweat & sawdust
Nick Orso is a voracious builder, engineer, craftsman... and sick skateboarder. Nick wanted to focus on those first three qualities when he started his business building tiny homes with his wife Elizabeth. I was tasked with strategy, naming, and branding that could do justice to the love, quality, and sense of adventure present in Nick’s new company.
In researching the tiny home business landscape, two things became apparent. Makers were either: 1.) cookie cutter home builders looking to create cheaper, basic options for buyers, or 2.) great craftspeople who made good homes… but lacked personality in their work.
Where Nick breaks the mold is with his unique approach to creating. He has a calculated, hyperdetailed approach to building given his engineering background, but he balances that with a creative, curious mind that looks to add quirk wherever possible.
To convey this special cocktail of brains and heart that sets Roamwell apart, I worked with master wordsmith Nikki Volpicelli to create the mission statement that sets the tone for the brand.
To capture Roamwell’s unique personality, it was a no-brainer to partner with photographer/also sick skateboarder Adam Hribar. His intimate shots showed the elbow grease and warmth that are put into Nick and Elizabeth’s work.
In addition to a website, letterhead, and swag, custom social posts were made to both educate the curious on tiny home facts as well show what makes Roamwell special.
